Las year our team was contacted via social media regarding a need for training and equipment in Honduras. Angel Aguilar a firefighter from Copan Ruins, Honduras reached out to our team via our instagram @firefighterswithoutbordersca. He conveyed a need for training and equipment in their city. After making a brief site visit on our 2018 Guatemala deployment our team has arranged a Honduras deployment for this year.

Our sister department in Villa Nueva will be sending 4 participants including Commandate Walter Orellana. In addition to Villa Nueva, the Zacapa Bomberos Voluntarios will be sending 4 firefighters, making this a regional deployment.

FFWOBCA plans to deliver medical equipment, SCBA’s, Turnouts and Rope Rescue gear that has been donated to us by generous departments across the United States.
